The European Union has recently issued a recommendation on the gradual lifting of temporary restrictions for non-essential travel to the EU. It is important to note that this recommendation is not legally binding and that the implementation of the gradual lifting of travel restrictions falls under the responsibility and jurisdiction of the authorities of EU Member States according to their own legislation and individual country rules.
If you are a Canadian citizen planning to travel to the EU this summer, you are highly advised to check the individual rules of the country or countries you intend to visit in Europe to ensure that you are allowed to enter the country, and to get information of possible quarantine requirements upon your arrival.
