High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini has presented the third progress report on the implementation of the European Union Global Strategy, “The EU Global Strategy in Practice - Three years on, looking forward”, which will be discussed by the EU Foreign and Defence Ministers at the Foreign Affairs Council on 17 June 2019 in Luxembourg. The report looks at the progress achieved over the past three years, since the presentation of the Global Strategy in June 2016, in five priority areas - the security of the Union, state and social resilience to our east and south, an integrated approach to conflicts and crises, cooperative regional orders and global governance for the 21st century - and provides possible orientations for the way forward in the coming years.

OTTAWA – The European Union is joining the Students on Ice Foundation (SOI) on the 2019 Arctic Expedition – the EU’s first time participating in the highly-anticipated journey by air, land and sea to the High Arctic.

Tuesday, June 11, 2019, Toronto, ON - The outstanding young musicians of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYO Canada) and the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO) are joining forces for the first time for a four-city Canadian tour in November of 2019. This celebration of international musical collaboration and friendship will feature a total of 76 musicians between the two orchestras.


Mardi 11 juin 2019 (Toronto, Ontario) — Les exceptionnels jeunes musiciens et musiciennes de l’Orchestre national des jeunes du Canada (NYO Canada) et de l’Orchestre des jeunes de l’Union européenne (EUYO) s’allient pour la première fois dans le cadre d’une tournée canadienne de quatre villes qui se déroulera en novembre 2019. Cette célébration internationale de la collaboration musicale et de l’amitié mettra en vedette un total de 76 musiciennes et musiciens venus des deux orchestres.
