Building up on the success of previous editions, more than 1,500 people packed the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa on 11 December to hear a unique selection of European Christmas carols, beautifully performed by the Cantiamo Girls Choir of Ottawa, La Chorale De La Salle, and the Calixa Lavallée Ensemble.

Special guests included Mária Budáčová, a talented organist from Slovakia, and the Romanian-Canadian Incognito Choir.

Despite the unseasonably warm weather in Ottawa, the Christmas spirit was collectively felt by those in attendance as they joined in the singing of "Silent night" in three different languages. What a beautiful way to end an enjoyable evening of impressive musical performances. Merry Christmas to you all!
