The Delegation of the European Union to Canada invites you to a workshop on "European Union 101." The workshop covers the inner workings of the European Union as well as trade opportunities under the new CETA agreement.

Are you interested in expanding your markets to Europe?

As a government official, are you sometimes at a loss to explain and/or understand the European Union?

The Comprehensive Economic Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the European Union (EU) opens a huge market of more than 500 million consumers to Canadian businesses and government procurers. The EU is offering a free one-day training session on how businesses and government can take advantage of CETA in St. John’s February 18th at the ALT hotel.

Adam Steinhouse, a professor and expert on the EU will provide an overview of the EU and its institutions followed by greater detail on the EU single market, new procurement options and other opportunities CETA offers. Christian Siviere is a trade expert with great experience in the practicalities of trade agreements. He will provide hands-on insight on how to take advantage of those new opportunities.
