For a ninth consecutive year, hundreds of music lovers packed the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica on 9 December for a chance to enjoy Christmas carols from across Europe. This year, the annual EU Christmas Concert returned with an impressive programme featuring songs from all 28 EU Member States to the delight of those in attendance.

The European Union Delegation is pleased to share Europe’s rich and diverse music tradition with Canadians. Our thanks to the choirs and their music directors, Nepean High School Choirs and Director Lee Carter, also the EU Christmas Concert Artistic Director, Ottawa Children's Choir Chamber Choir and Director Jamie Loback, Chorale Lyrica and Director Timothy Piper, guest performers Icognito Choir and Director Viorel Onut, and the EU Delegation’s own Terri-Ann Wint, whose solo performance of Grown Up Christmas List enthralled us all. Our thanks also to the Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica for hosting the concert and to our colleagues from the diplomatic missions of EU Member States for their support.

If you missed the concert, make sure to catch it on Rogers TV Ottawa this holiday season. Next year, the EU Christmas Concert turns 10. See you then!
