WOMEN FOREST ENTREPRENEURS

In the Amazon region, bioeconomy has a key role to play in the transition to a more circular, renewable, and resource-efficient society.  The protection of forest resources is crucial to tackle climate change and bioeconomy is one of the main strategies to natural resources conservation.

Objectives: (1) Improve the living conditions of the forest people in the State of Pará; (2) strengthen their productive organizations and (3) promote the economic feasibility of the forest. Furthermore, the project will train and empower women and young people in the management of their business and the commercialization of products and services of the forest biodiversity.
