High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas visits Bosnia and Herzegovina











The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (HR/VP) Kaja Kallas visited Bosnia and Herzegovina on 8 April 2025.
HR/VP Kallas started her visit at Camp Butmir, where she was greeted by the Commander of EUFOR Althea, Major General Florin-Marian Barbu, met servicemen and women deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and delivered a speech.
HR/VP Kallas then traveled to the Building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she met with the Chairwoman of the BiH Council of Ministers, Borjana Kristo. Following this meeting, HR/VP Kallas met with the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which she gave media statements in the Presidency building. The visit was concluded with a meeting with the BiH Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konakovic.
During her visit HR/VP Kallas was accompanied by the Head of EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Luigi Soreca.
