Belarusians with career-related interest in the European Union are invited to apply for the 2021 European Union Visitors Programme (EUVP).

The European Union Visitors Programme gives professionals from third countries an opportunity to visit the EU's institutions and learn more about the Union's policies, values, and people. As guests of the European Commission and the European Parliament, participants receive an individual 5-day study tour in Brussels tailored to their specific interests and professional profile.

Eligible for participation are government officials, researchers, academics, journalists, trade unionists, officials of non-profit, non-governmental organisations and other professionals specialising in the development of green economy, economic and social development, the defence of human rights and liberties, digital transformation, and democratic governance.

Participants are required to have completed their university education or equivalent training and to have been employed for several years in their chosen career field. The EUVP is not open to students. Visitors should have basic knowledge about EU institutions as well as an adequate command of spoken English or French for working meetings during their stay in Brussels. The EU will cover the costs of flights, accommodation, per diem, visas and insurance.

If you would like to meet your EU counterparts and see how the EU institutions function, please apply by 5 June 2020. Please fill out the three forms listed below and send them by email to the Delegation of the European Union to Belarus (delegation-belarus-press@eeas.europa.eu) with the following subject line: Application for EUVP 2021.

- Statement of Purpose (To ensure that the individually-tailored program reflects your motivation for the visit and your professional interest, the statement should include a brief description of your current responsibilities, EU theme(s) you wish to examine, topics you wish to discuss, and a list of EU institutions whose representatives you would like to meet):
