During the three-day event the participants engaged in a number of interactive sessions, learned more about the EU, its history, fundamental principles and values, the process of alignment and legislative harmonisation, issues of energy and environment, European Neighbourhood Policy, the Eastern Partnership initiative, and EU-Azerbaijan relations.
The event was the third EU-focused summer school to be organised in Azerbaijan. It was supported in the framework of the ‘Young European Neighbours’ network, an EU initiative launched in 2016 covering the EU Member States and six Eastern Neighbourhood countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
