EU Delegation to Australia together with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) hosted a special panel discussion marking International Women's Day: Women in Conflict, Protest and Diplomacy.
The event explored the importance of women's involvement in peace and security issues in Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Iran, as well as their advocacy for human rights on the global stage.
EU Ambassador HE Gabriele Visentin paid tribute to Ms Raffaella IODICE, a distinguished European diplomat who dedicated her career to international relations and humanitarian assistance. Notably, she served as the EU Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan (2022–2024) and as the Director of the EU Crisis Response Centre (CRC).
