Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions the teams undertook the first virtual round of negotiations in May. This round, the eighth to take place since negotiations began in July 2018, is also being hosted online.
Working to the European and Australian time zones, virtual rounds are scheduled over two weeks instead of one. Taking place from 14-25 September, the round will cover all areas of the future agreement including technical barriers to trade, sustainable development, goods, services, intellectual property rights including geographical indications, rules of origin and government procurement.
You can revisit the highlights from the previous round in the DG Trade report here.
