Armenia: Europe Day 2025: PROGRAMME

This year, we will celebrate Europe Day in Armenia with activities taking place throughout May in Yerevan and provinces. Under the title ‘EU-Armenia Cultural Bridge’, we will pay tribute to the rich cultural heritage and deep ties that bring the EU and Armenia together.

On 10 May, we will welcome the public to a fair in Yerevan’s Freedom Square. Here you can visit stands of EU Member States and other EU initiatives and projects. You can learn more about EU-Armenia relations, taste European food and drinks, listen to European and Armenian cultural performances and meet members of the EU Mission in Armenia ‘EUMA’, just to mention a few. The evening before, there will be a piano recital by Hayk Melikyan featuring 21st century European Music in the honour of the Europe Day.

In Yerevan, Gyumri and Gavar, we are also setting up the theatre play ‘This is Europe’ which combines entertaining anecdotes and captivating stories with historical insights about EU. In addition, Young European Ambassadors will organise a series of events including a ‘Cultural EuroQuest’ in Gyumri on 6 May, a ‘Living Library’ with stories of ‘Cultural Bridges’ in Oshakan on 17 May and Armenian traditional dance in Vayk on 24 May.

Last but not least, the European Film Festival will run from 24-30 May in Yerevan, providing an opportunity to watch films from EU Member States.
