These are the winners of the competition for schoolchildren launched as part of the Europe Day 2020 celebrations in Uruguay.

The purpose of the drawing competition 'Coronavirus in Uruguay' was to foster healthcare and solidarity during the coronavirus pandemic. To this end, the EU Delegation invited Uruguayan schoolchildren in 5th and 6th years of primary school to represent the title of the contest in an original and creative way, expressing in images how the pandemic has affected them and their families.

The Delegation received a large number of drawings from a large number of participants from schools across the country, most of whom met the formal requirements of the contest rules.

After the participation period ended, the drawings were evaluated by a jury composed of three primary school drawing teachers and a representative from the EU Delegation. This panel was responsible for choosing the winning drawings based on their quality, originality and creativity.

Given the difficulty of choosing only 3 winners from the large number of participants, the jury decided to make three additional special mentions, which will receive a certificate to that effect from the Delegation.

The three winners of the contest, in alphabetical order, were:

María Estable

Lucía Olaizola

María Clara Restuccia

The three special mentions, in alphabetical order, were:

Facundo Guerrero

Juana López

Romina Novogrebelsky

And the four additional drawings that completed the top 10 selected by the jury were:

Emilia De los Santos

Bruno Mollajoli

Luciana Pereira

Lusmila Rodríguez

The jury congratulates the 10 finalists for their excellent work.

The EU Delegation congratulates all participants for their effort, dedication and perseverance.
