19/06/2020 - 14:41

Despite bearing the brunt of the conflict, Syrian women remain at the forefront of peace-building, relief, human rights protection and advocating for gender equality. Their participation in the political process is essential to achieve sustainable peace. The webinar, opened by EEAS Secretary-General Helga Schmid, brings together prominent Syrian female negotiators and grassroots voices of the EU-supported Gaziantep Women Platform to discuss the challenges and opportunities to bring more women voices to the heart of the peace process as well as the priorities and expectations of all Syrian women.
