The Delegation of the European Union to Norway invites you to a seminar on European Union Arms Export Control and Conventional Disarmament.

The seminar will explore how the European Union combines political and financial support to the implementation of the relevant international treaties and regimes. What are currently the key issues around arms export control in Europe, and how does the European Union and Norway cooperate in this area? What about killer robots and drones, or small arms and light weapons?

The seminar will be introduced by our keynote speaker Frank Meeussen, who deals with conventional disarmament, non-proliferation and arms export control in the European External Action Service. The various issues will then be discussed in two separate panel discussions, moderated by Ambassador Thierry Bechet.

The seminar will be held in English. A light lunch and refreshments will be served.
