Monday October 24th saw the launch of the second mission of the European Union Business Avenues in South-East Asia. 35 small and medium enterprises from 15 different European Union Member States travelled to Singapore to present innovative and advanced green energy technologies that respond to an increasing demand for effective and sustainable energy solutions.
The event, which took place at the Asia Clean Energy Summit 2016 as part of Singapore International Energy Week was attended by local and international stakeholders and saw the participation of key figures of the Singaporean political and energy scene such as the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli and Edwin Khew, Chairman of the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore.
After two days of intense business meetings and networking, the companies will travel to Malaysia on October 26th to showcase their technologies at a stand-alone event in Kuala Lumpur.
The EU Business Avenues initiative was launched in June 2016 and aims to bring up to 1,000 European small and medium enterprises to South-East Asia over the next five years to help them develop business outside Europe.
