Under the campaign of the EU Delegation for support of eco-activism, its staff led by Ambassador Samuel Žbogar gave an example of how everybody should clean the garbage in public areas and thus take care of them in the same way they look after their homes.
'We practice what we preach' was the informal motto of the Delegation staff that joined forces with the staff of the public broadcaster MRTV in cleaning the bank of Vardar river, in the centre of Skopje. The action was boosted with the participation of registered eco-activists and actors from the popular TV sitcom 'Prespav'.
'It feels great to be an eco-hero', said Ambassador Žbogar with a smile, taking out the disposable mask that he wore while removing litter from the river bank.
Meanwhile, three celebrities – former handball player Indira Kastratovikj and actors Driton Vejseli and Sashko Kocev – formally became part of the campaign.

"Za cisto kako doma isto" aims to help raise the public awareness about the environment, to support the eco-activists, to inspire more people to join activities in their neighbourhood, as well as to encourage mayors to develop their own environment friendly activities in municipalities.
