Call for proposal title:          Supporting human rights defending organizations through sub-granting scheme

Publication reference:           CfP02/2019

On this first International Day commemorating the victims of acts of violence based on religion or belief, we pay tribute to all those around the world who lost their lives and suffered attacks because of their religion or belief. Persecution as a response to religious belief or affiliation, or lack thereof, is a violation of international law and requires joint work to combat it.

In accordance with its procedures, the Delegation of the European Union (EUD) to Albania will be holding a silent auction to dispose of used surplus residential equipment/furniture ("worn and written off") consisting of various items such as living room furniture, dining room furniture and bedroom furniture.

The deadline for grants under the 2nd call for proposals for the 2014-2020 Cross-border cooperation programme Albania Kosovo* has been extended. The programme is implemented under the framework of the instrument of pre-accession assistance (IPA II) and is the result of joint planning efforts made by the governments and other stakeholders of the two countries. IPA II supports cross-border cooperation with a view to promoting good neighbourly relations, fostering European Union integration and promoting socio-economic development.

We are

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political partnership between 28 European countries. It plays an important role in international affairs through diplomacy, trade, development aid and working with global organisations. Abroad, the EU is represented through more than 140 diplomatic representations, known also as EU Delegations, which have a similar function to those of an embassy.

As we mark the International Criminal Justice Day, the European Union reaffirms its longstanding support towards the international criminal justice system and in particular its unwavering commitment to the International Criminal Court (ICC), as part of the EU's wider commitment to a rules-based international order.
