Overall Objective

To contribute to the strengthening of the rule of law in Albania.

Summary of the Project

The action aims to reinforce the national capacities in fighting organised crime, high-level corruption and environmental crimes by developing efficient structures and reinforcing police and judicial international cooperation

Activities

Need assessments, training, mentoring, peer-to-peer assistance, study visits, procurement of equipment.

Expected Results

– Enhanced operational capacities of SPAK, ASP, GPO/PO in the investigation & prosecution of organised crime, illicit trafficking, high level corruption & environmental crime.

– Improved crime prevention capacity through community policing.

– Improved ASP capacity on planning, organisation & management of human, financial & technical resources

– Improved interagency coordination for effective international cooperation in line with national IBM Policies.
