Under the Multi-Annual Action Programme for years 2018, 2019, and 2020 “Civil Society Organisations and Local Authorities”, this Call for Proposals aims to promote human rights and empower civil society in the Solomon Islands to engage as actors of governance and development, build a dialogue with public authorities and hold the Government accountable for its commitments and performance towards citizens and society at large. The specific objective of the call is to strengthen CSOs’ capacities related to advocacy, policy analysis and monitoring of governmental programmes and budgets in the selected priority areas, while also promoting the development of partnerships, including with public authorities, and facilitating inclusion of CSOs in decision-making and reform processes.
The call for proposals combines two lots, one focused on Civil Society and Local Authorities and the other one on the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights.
Actions must take place in Solomon Islands without exception.
Local Authorities and/or associations of Local Authorities are eligible as co-applicants.
