The PROGRAMME FOR LEGAL EMPOWERMENT AND AID DELIVERY (PLEAD) is a European Union (EU) justice support programme funded by the 11th EDF under the National Indicative Programme (NIP) sector entitled "accountability of public institutions." PLEAD targets the 5 counties with the largest urban centres and 7 counties of the most marginalized areas of North Eastern Kenya where the rule of law is particularly challenged due to social inequalities or abject poverty. These focal counties are: Wajir, Mandera, Lamu, Tana River, Garissa, Marsabit, Isiolo, Kisumu, Nairobi, Mombasa, Uasin Gishu and Nakuru.

The PLEAD project office is located at National Legal Aid Service, Kenya Charity Sweepstakes (KCS) Building, Mama Ngina Street, Nairobi, Kenya.  .

An international open tender is being launched for the procurement of 13 vehicles, financed by the European Union. The vehicles in question shall be used by the central - and local offices of the National Legal Aid Service in the aforementioned focal counties.

 

Contracting Authority

The Contracting Authority is The Republic of Kenya, The National Treasury, Kenya.

 

Objective: The Contracting Authority intends to award a supply contract for the supply and delivery (maintenance) of Motor-Vehicles: 12 Unit of four-wheel drive SUV Vehicle and 1 unit of two-wheel drive Sedan Cars in Kenya with financial assistance from the PLEAD programme (EDF: KE/FED/2018/397-591)
