The European Union through its ‘European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) Country Based Support Scheme’ in Papua New Guinea has launched a ‘Call for Proposals’ to support initiative of civil society organizations working in the field of human rights, democracy and rule of law.
Human Rights, Democracy and Rule of Law are values firmly embedded in the EU policy framework, including within the new European Consensus on Development, and the 2015-2019 Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy, in particular objective I on 'Boosting Ownership of Local Actors' and objective II on 'Addressing Human Rights Challenges'.
The overall objective of this call for proposals is to enable community actors to address conflicts and violence
The specific objective of this call for proposals is to support community actors address sorcery accusation related violence in Papua New Guinea
The overall amount available under this call for proposals is EUR 650.000 (about PGK 2.65million).
The deadline for the submission of concept notes is 28/08/2020.
