Immerse yourself with Hungarian-New Zealand artists and discover the Double Bond!
On 15 November, the Embassy of Hungary in Wellington opened an exhibition which consists of 18 works by 9 different New Zealand-Hungarian artists. This exhibition is looking for answers of what do two words - New Zealand-Hungarian - mean together, how they connect through art. One of the features of the exhibition is the Heilmer & Proc "Buda Waka" painting. They are best known in Wellington for their mural "The Mover" on the wall of the Museum Hotel. On their "Buda Waka" painting you can find a connection of freedom between the Hungarian hole flag from 1956 and Maori Waka. The exhibition is available at the Hungarian Embassy until 15 January 2019.
