The meeting is part of a series of Workshops, which gather African Alumni from all over the continent to elaborate on the vision and mission of the newly set up forum. The EU supports the forum to establish another valuable actor in policy dialogue, to promote mobility programs across the African continent and to contribute to the enhancement of Higher Education all over Africa.
ASAF is part of the EU-AU partnership and together with Tuning Africa and HQAA aims to strengthen the Higher Education Sector in Africa. The European Commission just reinforced its resources for mobility in and with Africa and the newly elected European Commission stressed the relevance of the EU-African partnership. As it targets alumni from EU supported mobility scholarships, the Forum is designed to be a long term engagement and will also be useful network for the EU to maintain relations with these alumni.
