EU participated at the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar in Addis Ababa

On Saturday 15 November 2025, almost 7,000 Ethiopians and international community members gathered at the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar to celebrate diversity and to fundraise towards local philanthropic actions in Ethiopia. The EU lively stand enhanced EU visibility, allowed for a fun team building and collected almost 100.000 ETB.

The EU Delegation to the African Union organised a stand, in collaboration with the EU Delegation to Ethiopia and Member States, at the Diplomatic Charity Bazaar. The very animated EU-branded stand ensured visibility and engagement with the more than 7.000 participants. It offered different activities such as EU-branded popcorn cones and cupcakes and blue and stars face painting. The most successful offer at the EU stand were games that allowed to start conversations about the EU, its Member States and the EU partnerships with Ethiopia and with AU, celebrating 50 and 25 years respectively. Besides being a fun team building with the active participation of expats, including both EU Ambassadors, local colleagues and family members, while giving back to the local community: the EU stand raised 100.000 ETB.
