On 24 January 2018, an Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Working Group meeting, co-chaired by the Minister of Economy of Afghanistan Dr. Mustafa Mastoor and Ambassador of the European Union to Afghanistan H.E Pierre Mayaudon, took place in Dubai. The event marked the launch of the first OECD peer-review project of economic reforms in Afghanistan. The meeting discussed reform priorities for private sector and entrepreneurship policies, aligning with the work of Afghanistan’s Executive Committee on Private Sector Development (PRISEC). The project is taking place as part of the EU Central Invest Programme. In the meeting Ambassador Mayaudon presented the work of the EU in the country and its support to private sector development and job creation that can contribute to security and the peace agenda.
