The campaign message for the day was Child Protection in line with a project funded by the EU under the Social Protection programme in Eswatini.
The messages were clear - children should be protected from violence, exploitation, abuse and neglect so that they grow up in safe, caring and friendly environments.
The children, from primary schools around Eswatini, conveyed these messages in song, poetry, theatre and dance as they performed a variety of activities throughout this colourful day.
The day was also graced by the presence of EU Ambassador, Esmeralda Hernandez Aragones, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister, Themba Masuku, who both emphasized the importance of child protection so as to ensure that children are brought up to be responsible citizens.
In their speeches, both the Ambassador and the DPM further underscored the importance of art, saying the festival helped the children to unleash their creativity through the many languages of art.
The event was also covered by CNN International who also got the opportunity to interview the EU Ambassador for a programme to be aired on CNN in a few weeks' time focusing mainly on the Bushfire schools festival.
