EUCAP Sahel Mali celebrates the International Women's Day and welcomes the daily involvement of women and men who work for the respect of women's rights in Mali and around the world.

EU Member States have committed themselves to a Common Foreign Security Policy for the European Union. To strengthen the EU's external ability to act through the development of civilian and military capabilities in conflict prevention and crisis response.


Each EU mission is based on a legal agreement. The decisions of deployment and management of the mission are taken by the EU countries during the Foreign Affair Council.


Each EU mission works in the framework of a comprehensive approach. The mission works in agreement and coordination with the EU Delegations in the same area and in the framework of EU regional policies.


An Advisory Mission in Iraq, a Military Training Mission in the Central African Republic, a Maritime Operation in the Mediterranean and an Assistance Mission in Ukraine are among the most recent additions to over 30 civilian missions and military operations launched by the EU since the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) became a reality almost 15 years ago.

Bamako (Mali), 31 December 2017 - With the last trainings of 2017 for the National Guard, the National Gendarmerie and the National Police of Mali, the Mission worked these last weeks on a total overhaul of the training modules and planning the first sessions of the new year.

Bamako (Mali), 07 December 2017 - In the framework of the Malian presidency of the G5 Sahel, the validation workshops of the conceptual framework of organization and functioning of the police component of Joint Force G5 Sahel took place in Bamako from the 6th to the 08th of December 2017.

Bamako (Mali), 9 October 2017 - The opening ceremony of the second legislative drafting workshop organized by EUCAP Sahel Mali on 9 October 2017 was chaired by the Secretary General of the Government. In the presence of the Deputy Head of Mission, the Minister thanked the Strategic Advisors in Legal Drafting for the initiative to support the training of the public administration’s heads of department.
