Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting on Education, 22 November 2019

The first Eastern Partnership Ministerial Meeting on Education was held on Friday 22 November 2019, discussing the Future of Learning and Teaching.

The meeting brought together Ministers/Deputy Ministers and other senior officials from the EaP countries, the current EU Council Presidency trio, and representatives of the EU institutions. EEAS was represented by Luc Devigne, Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and OSCE.

The morning session focussed on past, current and future cooperation with the region in the field of education. The discussion evolved around challenges in the sector and partner countries’ reform agendas and actions to address these challenges. It also focussed on past, ongoing and potential future EU support to and policy dialogue with partner countries, including the structured consultation on the future of the Eastern partnership, post 2020.
