Message from the Ambassador

Dear visitors,

I would like to welcome you to the website of the Delegation of the European Union to Côte d'Ivoire and thank you for your interest in our activities.

For more than 60 years, the EU and Côte d'Ivoire have developed rich and strong relations in a multitude of fields. Our partnership is based on shared interests and values. We cooperate to face the great challenges of our time, such as the fight against climate change, job creation, especially for young people, and the promotion of international relations based on multilateralism and the rule of law.

Very involved in the country's recovery since 2011, the EU has a privileged status in Côte d'Ivoire as the leading economic partner and donor in the field of development. The EU wishes to accompany the country in its transformation towards an economy that is increasingly competitive, resilient and efficient in terms of environmental and social sustainability. The EU also pays particular attention to conflict prevention, democracy and good governance.

With the Delegation's team and in conjunction with our Member States Embassies and the European Investment Bank, united as "Team Europe", we are working tirelessly to deepen this partnership.

I invite you to visit our website to learn more about our actions. Enjoy your visit!

Francesca Di Mauro, Ambassador of the European Union to Côte d'Ivoire
