La candidatura de la Sra. Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle para el puesto de Directora General de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Agricultura y la Alimentación se presentó en Roma el lunes 17 de diciembre de 2018. El próximo Director General será elegido por los 194 Estados Miembros de la Organización durante su 41ª Conferencia. en junio de 2019. La Sra. Geslain-Lanéelle de Francia fue identificada como candidata a la UE por el Consejo de la Unión Europea el 15 de octubre de 2018.

The candidacy of Ms Catherine Geslain-Lanéelle for the post of Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organisation, was submitted in Rome on Monday 17 December 2018. The next Director General will be elected by the 194 Member States of the Organisation during its 41st Conference in June 2019. Ms Geslain-Lanéelle from France was identified as the EU candidate by the Council of the European Union on 15 October 2018.
