Activities of the EUIC

Evrópustofa is an EU Information Centre. Its objective is to increase understanding and knowledge of the role and nature of the EU and its policies, along with the process of EU accession. Evrópustofa is open to everyone, regardless of their views on the EU or Iceland's possible accession.

What would you like to know?

The Evrópustofa team will try to answer questions regarding the EU and provide assistance to people looking for information on their own, for example regarding EU projects and funds.

Guests are welcome to sit down and enjoy Evrópustofa's selection of various reading material on the EU.

Please feel free to send us an email or call us. We will do our best to answer your questions and comments!

A variety of events

Evrópustofa organizes round-tables and discussion meetings around the country. Information meetings, seminars, and cultural events are hosted both at the Evrópustofa premises and elsewhere.

Public relations and the media

Evrópustofa does its best to assist journalists in finding information on the EU and its operations.

There are many EU myths in circulation, most of which have no basis in reality. Evrópustofa will try its best to correct such misunderstandings.

Evrópustofa seeks to collaborate with different institutions, schools, organisations, as well as other interest groups which can have different views on Iceland's accession process.
