Last Friday, in order to share this festivity with the rest of the nations participating in the OHQ, the Spanish Contingent held this celebration in advance.
In the morning, the Operation Commander, French Major General Philippe Pontiès, presided a parade that was held at 08:00 to hoist the Spanish flag, with the participation of the Headquarters Chief of Staff (COS), Greek Brigadier General Christos Drivas, all OHQ Senior National Representatives (SNRs) and Spanish Contingent.
After the ceremony, coffee was served at 10:00, providing an excellent opportunity for social interaction among the different contingents taking part.
The Spanish SNR briefed the participants on the meaning of this anniversary, explaining aspects of Spanish culture and history, while having a coffee and watching some representative images and videos about last years military parade in Madrid and other relative issues.
