On 16 September 2026, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova Iwona Piórko hosted the annual reception for media representatives at the EU residence.
The team from the Euro Club of Orizont High School was named the winner of the EU Accelerator 2026 programme, earning a study visit to Brussels as the grand prize. The final event showcased youth-led civic initiatives and innovative communication strategies developed across the Republic of Moldova.
Six organisations in the Republic of Moldova have received more than €1 million in EU grants to develop programmes supporting startups and entrepreneurs across different stages of business growth — from ideation and incubation to acceleration, investment readiness and international expansion.
Ina Mîndru, a mother of four children from Popeasca village, Ștefan Vodă district, benefited from the EcoVoucher Appliance Voucher Program, which enabled her to replace her old washing machine with a new, energy-efficient model.
