"The picture exhibition, "La Terre vue du ciel" ("La tierra viesta desde el cielo"), from the French photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand, will last from 15 of April till 15 of June 2008 and will be placed at the Central Park (“Parque Central”) of Miraflores, the most touristic area in Lima. Following the estimation from the Miraflores Municipality, this venue could allow around 2 million people to visit this exhibition.

The exhibition shows images of the most diverse places all over the planet, presenting in a very visual way, the relation of men with environment, biodiversity, energy and natural resources… These pictures, together with explanatory notes, will allow raising awareness about sustainable development and its relation with the fight against poverty, the two thematic subjects of the Lima Summit.

Parallel to this exhibition, up to 9 conferences on different issues related to environment and sustainable development will be organized in different European and Peruvian institutions and cultural centers in Lima, Peru"
