The European Commission invites proposals to the EU Business and Information Bureau in Hong Kong and Macao.
General objective: The general objective of the Business Information Programme will be to strengthen economic partnership and business cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao and ensure a stronger and coordinated representation of European business and its interests in Hong Kong and Macao. This will contribute to the strategic objective of boosting the competitiveness of European companies and strengthening their presence in Hong Kong/Macao and the Greater China markets, as many European companies use Hong Kong as their China hub or gateway. The Programme could focus on a limited number of key priorities including but not limited to SMEs, protection and enforcement of IPR, financial services, and investment.
Objective 1: Organise and perform activities of Business Councils which are already established or are to be created.
Objective 2: Promote and facilitate European Union firms' use of Hong Kong and Macao as a stepping-stone for entering mainland China (including Guangdong Province).

The European Commission’s Service for Foreign Policy Instruments invites proposals from the higher education institutions in Hong Kong to establish the EU Academic Programme in Hong Kong. The initiative is aimed at encouraging greater awareness and knowledge of the EU through support for EU-focused curriculum development and research, outreach activities and academic links.
The maximum budget available for the Programme is EUR 950 000.
