As a follow up mechanism a EuroMed ad hoc meeting at expert senior officials is organised at least once a year, to review the implementation of the present measures contained in these conclusions and to inform the annual EuroMed meeting of ministers of foreign affairs.

The first meeting of the Ad Hoc working group took place in Brussels, on 22 October 2007 and experts revised the content of the first implementation review report 2006-2007 [3 MB] elaborated by the European Commission on the bases of questionnaires sent to all partners and some EuroMed civil society organisations.

In Brussels, 12 June 2008, a second meeting took place to discuss the “ Participation of Women in Political Life in the Euro-Mediterranean Area [93 KB] .

On 13 October 2008, in Brussels, an informal meeting of the Ad Hoc working group took place to evaluate the achievements of the EuroMed partners in the implementation of the “Istanbul Conclusions”. The European Commission presented to experts from the partner countries the second implementation report 2007-2008 [616 KB] .

The third annual report 2008-2009 [713 KB] and a multi-annual report 2006-2009 [461 KB] have been elaborated and distributed to all partners. These reports mark the end of a three year exercise that has allowed the gathering of a very interesting and valuable information that we hope will be of use for all for us. The Commission would like to thank all the partners for their participation and active involvement in the elaboration of these reports.
