Joint annual reports

The Joint Annual Reports (JARs) on Cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Zambia describe the progress in the implementation of the National Indicative Programme for Zambia, as well as other EU development programmes, and provide the basis for reviewing the choice of intervention areas should the situation in the country call for this.

The reports are prepared by the Secretary to the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance and National Development in his capacity as National Authorising Officer (NAO) for the EDF and the Head of the EU Delegation to Zambia.

The operational review of the indicative programme aims at ensuring that the financial cooperation between Zambia and the EU is sufficiently flexible to cater for changes that may occur in the economic situation and/or the policy objectives and priorities of the country itself.
