Infrastructure

The European Union's support to the Infrastructure sector contributes to poverty reduction, economic growth and social development. Sector investments result in improved access to basic services, generate employment and enhance a country’s ability to trade and to integrate into the global economy. As such, they are key to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. The European Union devotes a significant proportion of its development funding to that purpose.
