EU Study Days to hold 4 sessions in new academic year (01/09/2014)
EU Delegation to Ukraine is happy to announce that it will continue EU Study Days in 2014-2015 academic year.
EU Study Days is an initiative of the EU Delegation to Ukraine aimed at providing Ukrainian youth with wider and deeper knowledge about the main features of the European Union and its relations with Ukraine in the context of EU-Ukraine Association Agreement implementation. The project also aims to establish a network of active Ukrainian youth who will continue their communication and exchange experience.
The project has united over 300 participants across Ukraine since March 2013, when the fist EU Study Days session was held. The already conducted EU Study Days sessions consisted of interactive lectures on topical issues of Ukraine’s European integration delivered by leading experts, EU official representatives including Ambassador Jan Tombinksi, representatives of EU member states diplomatic missions, Ukrainian officials and members of European business operating in Ukraine. The participants also took part in simulation games resembling EU-Ukraine association talks or the Council meeting dedicated to Russia-Ukraine crisis.
The next 4 EU Study Days sessions will be held in the new academic year. Each of the session will have its target region: west, central, south and east Ukraine. The project will focus on security issues in Ukraine and wider in Europe, on implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, on energy security and people-to-people contacts including visa liberalization process. On top of this, the EU Study Days participants will learn about education opportunities in European universities and become familiar with effective communication tools provided by new media.
Some lectures of the EU Study Days will be broadcasted online and will be available at the project’s web site (http://eustudydays.com/video/). The already broadcasted lectures are also available at the web site.
Call for application to the new sessions will be announced additionally.
