Erasmus+ Programme opens doors of European Education to Ukrainians (03/03/2014)
On March 5-6, 2014 the Erasmus+ Information Day 2014 will take place in Kyiv. During the event the National Tempus Office in Ukraine will introduce a new EU-funded Program Erasmus+ as well as Erasmus Mundus and Jean Monnet. Higher education institutions, university teachers, researchers and students will have a possibility to learn about diverse educational opportunities for individuals and institutions in the European Union and Ukraine.
The Information Day will be held in close cooperation with the EU Delegation to Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. During the event participants will get useful information on procedures (including obligatory e-registration on ECAS and PIC portals) and application tips for scholarships and grants. Representatives of higher education institutions and university teachers will have an opportunity to find partners for future projects and cooperation between universities. Moreover, representatives of Embassies of the EU members will share information about current international cooperation opportunities available in their countries. The National Tempus Office in Ukraine will also present results of the last 6th Tempus IV call for educational institutions.
Although Erasmus+ programme has not been launched to the full extent, calls are partially open for Key Action 1: Learning mobility, Key Action 2: Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices. On the other hand, Key Action 2: Capacity building in higher education (ex-Tempus) has not been launched yet. The call for Specific Action Jean Monnet was already announced. For students, scholarships are offered by Erasmus Mundus Action 1 programme for academic years 2014/15 and selection for academic mobility programmes continues under Erasmus Mundus Action 2.
Please note that Information Day is a two-day event: the first day will be devoted to the presentations of Erasmus+ and other EU programmes, the second day will be dedicated to desk-consultations on the preparation of project proposals. The working language of the event is Ukrainian.
University students, teachers and administrative staff, directors of international cooperation departments, representatives of research institutions, NGOs, other stakeholders interested in EU educational programmes Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus and Jean Monnet are warmly invited to join the event.
Participation in the Information Day is free; however, the National Tempus Office of Ukraine does not cover transportation costs or allowance. Representatives of higher education and research institutions, NGOs or companies are invited notwithstanding their place of residence (region or city).
