EU Study Days 6th session – see lecture broadcasted online (15/11/2013)

On 20 Octoberthe6thsessionofEUStudyDays, an educationalproject of the EU Delegation to Ukraine,willbelaunchedinLviv. TheinitiativeaimsatprovidingUkrainianstudentsandrecent graduateswithdeeperandbroaderknowledgeabouttheEU in general and its relations with Ukraine in particular.  

The 6th session of EU Study Days will take place inLvivon 20 - 24 November. The event will bring together 40 students and recent graduates from western, northern and central Ukraine selected through an open competition. The participants will attend lectures on current issues in EU-Ukraine relations delivered by officialsfromtheEUDelegationtoUkraine, Ukrainian MFA representatives as well as the country’s leading experts. The EU Study Days will cover political, economic, legal, energy and visa-related aspects of EU-Ukraine relations. The session will also pay particular attention to the prospects of the EU-Ukraine relations after the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.

 

The EU Study Days project will take place in HotelSonata” (Morozna str.,14) in a large conference room.

One EU Study Days lecture will be broadcasted online, allowing anyone who is interested to join in the experience. The lecture can be followed on the EU Study Days blog at eustudydays.blogspot.com. The preliminary schedule of the lecture broadcasted online is as follows:

 

Thursday21November, 10:0012:00: Nicholas BURGE, Head of Trade and Economic Section at the EU Delegation to Ukraine will speak about FTA chapter of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

 

NB. The lecture will be conducted in English without translation.

 

EU Study Days lectures will be also broadcasted at theEUInformationCentre in Ternopil. The Centre is located on the premises of Ternopil National Economic University (Lvivska Str., 11, building 1, Library). On 21 November, 12:00 – 13:00 following the lecture delivered by Nicholas Burge, the EU information Centre will also broadcast a lecture of MartinDAY, deputy head of mission at the British Embassy to Ukraine, on the EU-UkraineAssociationAgreement: itsmajorelements, benefitsandchallenges, and the “stronger together” informationcampaign.  The EU Information Centre in Ternopil can be reached via phone at: (0352) 47-50-63.
