Press conference - EU Bus in 10 villages around the country, 11 Maj 2012 (11/05/2012)
As part of the information campaign "The EU in Close-up", an EU travelling Bus with representatives of the Delegation of the European Union, ambassadors of several EU Member States, representatives of the Secretariat for European Affairs, the Agency for financial support of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the NGO European Movement will visit 10 villages across the country.
The information campaign will start on 14 May and end on 30 May, and the first of the 10 villages which will be visited is Dolneni, Prilep.
Prior to the departure of the EU Bus, on Monday, 14 May, at 9:30hrs, H.E. Ambassador Aivo Orav, Head of the Delegation of the European Union, will give a short statement for the media in front of the EU Delegation premises.
H.E. Ambassador Aivo ORAV will first visit the village of Gorno Orizari (Veles) and, several days later he will go to the villages of Lipkovo (Kumanovo) and Bogovinje (Š¢etovo), together with the Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Ms. Teuta ARIFI. The other villages will be visited by the ambassadors of the Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia.
The residents of the villages will have the opportunity to ask questions related to the European Union, the EU accession process, the funding opportunities under IPA and other EU assistance programmes, through a direct communication with the EU Bus team.
The objective of this information campaign, organised by the Delegation of the European Union, is to establish a direct communication with the population in the rural areas and to offer information regarding the European Union.
