Call for proposals for the intra-ACP academic mobility scheme (08/03/2012)

Honiara, 08 March 2012.

The European Union is pleased to announce the launch of the second Call for proposals for the intra-ACP academic mobility scheme (reference EACEA/11/12).

The intra-ACP academic mobility scheme promotes cooperation between higher education institutions (HEIs) and supports mobility in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP) regions.

The programme aims to increase access to quality education that will encourage and enable ACP students to undertake postgraduate studies, and to promote student retention in the region along with mobility of staff (academic and administrative), while increasing the competitiveness and attractiveness of the institutions themselves.

The intra-ACP academic mobility scheme provides support to:

  • higher education institutions to set up inter-institutional cooperation partnerships between universities from different countries within the ACP regions;
  • individual students, researchers and university staff to spend a study / research / teaching period in the context of one of the cooperation partnerships;

An information session for the Pacific will be held on 21st March in Suva, Fiji.

In order to apply, higher education institutions (HEIs) and students can find the application form and its annexes as well as information about the session on the intra-ACP website:
