25/07/2016 - Rwandan companies to benefit from new RWF 48 billion lending programme pdf - 363 KB [363 KB]

The European Investment Bank has agreed to support a new lending initiative by Bank of Kigali to back private sector investment across Rwanda. The European Investment Bank will provide EUR 28 million (RWF 24 billion) alongside EUR 28 million being provided by Bank of Kigali for the nationwide programme.

22/06/2016 - EU grants €200 million budget support to Rwanda agriculture

Largest ever single EU financial grant to Rwanda - Rwanda's Minister of Finance Claver Gatete today signed a 200 million Euro (RWF 173 billion) budget support agreement with the European Union to invest in farm production, nutrition and jobs in Rwanda's all-important agricultural sector. Agriculture Minister Gerardine Mukeshimana looked on as EU Ambassador Michael Ryan and Minister Gatete exchanged documents sealing the largest ever single EU financial grant to Rwanda.
