European Union Exhibition Showcasing Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Pakistan (25/03/2014)
The EU Delegation to Pakistan together with Unit H1 (Geographical Coordination for Asia and Pacific EuropeAid) of DG Development and Co-operation and office of Member European Parliament, Jean Lambert is organising an exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels during 1- 4th April 2014.
The event is being organised to showcase EU supported Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) projects in Pakistan. This includes six projects being implemented by NGOs (Care International, Plan International, Oxfam Novib, ACTED, Concern Worldwide and one local Organisation - Technical Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDEC)) and a major programme being implemented by GIZ to help reform the technical and vocational sector in Pakistan as well as implement pilot projects to demonstrate the potential impact.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on 1st April 2014 at 2:00 p.m. by Mr Fernando Frutuoso de Melo, Director General, European Commission Directorate General for Development Cooperation and Mr Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Pakistan. The exhibition is open for all EU staff members. However, the inauguration ceremony is by invitation only. On 2 April, a guided tour will be organised at 12:30 p.m. for selected EU staff members.
