On his final trip to New Zealand in his role as the European Union Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand, H.E. David Daly presented to the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA). His presentation, entitled "The European Union and New Zealand, the Pacific and Asia", provided some insightful remarks on the geopolitical shifts across the Asia Pacific region and the EU's response.

The Pacific Energy Summit is a joint initiative designed to enable Pacific countries and territories to work with development partners to take a substantive step towards their goals of implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives, with a special focus on generation and distribution of electricity. The European Union and the New Zealand Government co-hosted the Pacific Energy Summit in Auckland from 24 to 26 March 2013.
