Saving lives through first aid and road safety campaigns
The Dutch Red Cross and the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan launched a road safety campaign 'Direct action to save lives on Kyrgyzstan's roads' targeting young Kyrgyz drivers in order to limit road accidents and raise knowledge of first aid.

Capacity building for human rights actors
A network of NGOs, with focus on youth, minority and disadvantaged rights, has managed to raise awareness of the importance of human rights through training courses to school teachers, advocacy, monitoring and social activism.

Fighting human rights infringements
A local NGO and the Ministry of Defense have brought visibility to the human rights of soldiers in Kyrgyzstan to overcome their previous arbitrary treatment. As part of the scheme soldiers received legal assistance and psychological support.

Supporting prison reform in Kyrgyzstan
The project establishes the basis for the sustainability of the management of the prison service. This includes development of policy, strategy and planning capacities of the prison service, to transform broad objectives into action plans.
