A constructive dialogue in the framework of the EU-funded project on monitoring the implementation of Kazakhstan's Human Rights Action Plan (28/01/2013)
A constructive dialogue on children and women rights took place during the roundtable gathered in the framework of the EU-funded project “Monitoring the National Human Rights Action Plan by Kazakhstan for 2009-2012 implementation progress”, implemented by Kazakhstan International Bureau for Human Rights and Rule of law (KIBHR) in partnership with MediaNet and Legal Policy Research Centre (LPRC) on 24 January 2013 in Astana. The participants were welcomed by Aurelia Bouchez, Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The NGOs, representatives of the Office on Human Rights under the President of RK, National Commission on women's affairs, family and demographic policy under the President of RK, ministries and governmental structures dealing with issues as well as International community highlighted the planned policies and the positive steps made by Kazakhstan in this field, and discussed the issues which remain to be solved. The event was broadcasted by 24 KZ TV channel and 31 Channel and followed by several publications in the national press.
