A joint Israeli-Palestinian photo exhibition will be opened on Monday, December 19 at the Arab Jewish Community Center in Jaffa at 10:00 (15/12/2011)

This photography exhibition was produced under Save a Child’s Heart “Heart of the Matter” Program sponsored by the European Union’s Partnership for Peace program.
Four photographers, two Palestinian and two Israeli, documented the Heart of the Matter project in Israel and in Palestine.

The guest of honour in the opening event will be Mr. Andrew Standley, the European Union Ambassador to Israel. The four photographers, doctors, volunteers and Save a Child’s Heart children will also attend the opening.

The photographs on display tell the story of Palestinian children suffering from heart disease through the eyes of the photographers as well as the ongoing daily cooperation between the Palestinian and Israeli physicians working together in order to save these children’s lives.

This photography exhibition will be displayed in Israel and in Nablus and will serve as a tangible expression of the hope for a peaceful future, generating a more positive opinion of the "other" among both Palestinians and Israelis.
